Frequently Asked Questions

1.  Where can I get a Registration & Lodging long form?

You may download a long form from our Home page or you may contact Cheryl Rush at peppercatt2@gmail.com and request one be emailed or snail mailed to you.  You may also register and request lodging reservations by using our online form found on our "Registration" page at this web site.

2.  How do I reserve RV camping?

The back of the long form has both RV and hotel reservation information.  If you do not wish to order any other Convention items, you may use our on line RV registration form and pay with a credit card.

3. What if I want to change my Hotel or RV reservations after I have sent in the form?

     You may request any changes by contacting our Hotel Lodging Vice-Chair, Bobby Parker, (borayparker@yahoo.com) or our RV Camping Vice-Chair, Dan & Vicki Hatfield, (vhat@cox.net).

 

4.  Are spectators allow at the dances?

YES.  We love to have spectators come see what square-dancing is all about. We welcome questions about where and how to learn to square dance as well.   We do ask that small children be attended by an adult at all times as dance floors can be very crowded and square dancing is a contact activity.


5. Is Square Dance Attire required?

Square dance attire is customarily worn during all evening dances and strongly encouraged during the evening convention dances.  However, paid dancers are welcome to dance regardless of attire.

6.  How do I get one of those alligator dangles? 

        The dangles come with registration, however you can also purchase them at our Ways & Means tables                              set up at dances around the country. They also have other gator items for sell.

7.  When do the registration prices change?

     Registration for our 75th NSDC are currently $70 per adult and $35.00 for youths who will be at most, 17 years of age      by 6/25/2025. if they are older than 17 years at the time of our convention, they are considered adults.

    

     Prices will increase again on May 1, 2025.  They will then be $85 for adults and $42.50 for youths.

8.  Do I need to complete a long form if I don't want housing?

      It helps us plan if we have a long form indicating that you do not want any housing assistance. This way we                know you have not forgotten to complete the form but still want to reserve a hotel or camping.

  9.  I have sent in my registration but have not gotten a link to make a hotel reservation; what do I do?

 10.  When will tour sells begin?

      Our Committee (Rachel Rose) is still working on these and more information, (pricing & dates, & Transportation)       will be coming soon. 

 11.  How do I request a refund?

      If you have double paid for anything or find that you can not come to the convention after registering, you                 may request a refund by sending an email to Registration, Rhonda Bailey (rhondaw252@outlook.com) or                   Cheryl Rush (peppercatt2@gmail.com)  

12.  Where can I find more information about the Shreveport National Square Dance Convention?

  13.  When does the Dinner and Show start Wednesday night?

          The Meal will start at 4:30 & the show goes from 6:00 - 7:00 pm       Opening Ceremony for the NSDC will                    start at 7:30 in the main hall.

 14.  Is there transportation from RV park to Convention center?

There will be no transportation provided by the convention.  However, we will have bulletin boards in the free hospitality building at the campground, for those people who would like to car pool to post notices.  There is limited parking near the Convention center and all require a paid fee.
