We Need Your Help

REGISTRATION

We will need people willing to work at the registration desk at the Pre-Convention Dance & during the 74th Convention.We are looking for people to give only one or two hours of their time to help others check in to the Convention.  Please contact Cheryl Rush (251) 222-4495 or peppercatt2@gmail.com if you are interested.

CLINICS

“Clinics are an educational activity primarily involving demonstration and exhibition. Clinics are presented in either classroom settings or in a dance hall, most typically in the latter. One or two dance leaders engage in a demonstration, exhibition, and brief discussion of their topics, followed by audience participation.”

Clinic sessions may be held for square dancing, round dancing, C&W and Line Dancing, contra, and clogging.

 

DUTIES OF THE CLINIC DIRECTORS APPOINTED BY THE CLINICS VICE-CHAIRMAN (NELDA AND JON EATON):

To ensure that the room is properly prepared for the clinic; ensure that all materials are available and proper room signs and participant names are in place.

Ensure that the clinician has signed in and is available for the session.

Introduce the clinician.

Collect statistics (i.e., number of participants; number of people observing)

Close the session (thank clinician, participants, observers)

Volunteers

INFORMATION DESK 

For many dancers, this will be their first big dance and we need to be sure they are able to enjoy all the activities.  We need friendly volunteers willing to provide guidance about dance locations at the Convention as well as other information about Shreveport/Bossier and the region.  Handing out pamphlets etc.
